Hi.

I am a travelling Vegan Chef and Yoga Teacher. I live mostly between Bali and Norway. My Food Philosophy is expanding along with my inner growth. I am seeing an important connection between both the physical and emotional bodies to be healthy through nutrition. Emotional nourishment through food plays such an important role in ones wellbeing.

Almond Spreads

One of the favorites among my customers at The Sacred food ordering Kitchen, are the almond spreads. Spread on top of the healthy sourdough I bake, makes a delicious and healthy in between snack. It can sometimes be challenging to find healthy snack in between meals if you are on the run and I am experiencing that when you have healthy alternatives, its easier to keep away from sugary snacks and making unhealthy choices. These Almond spreads are easy to make and does not require a lot of ingredients. They can also add a beautiful taste to your smoothies, a fruit salad or on top of a cake or dessert if you are missing an extra touch.

The Chocolate Almond Spread is so yummy and rich, without containing lots of sugar. It lasts for a long time in the fridge and is a great "pick-me-up" snack when feeling low on energy.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Almonds soaked over night
about two tablespoons vegan organic Chocolate sauce
1 tablespoon Cacao powder
2-3 tablespoons Palm Nectar or other liquid sweetener
2-3 tablespoons Coconut oil
a pinch of Vanilla seeds
a pinch of Salt

Place all the ingredients into a food processor. Depending on how dense your chocolate sauce is and how rich you'd like your spread to be, add about two tablespoons of chocolate sauce, then add more later if you feel like.

Mix throughly until you get a smooth and creamy spread.

The Apple Almond Spread has a touch of ginger and cinnamon, with a little bit of sweetness.

Ingredients:
1 cup Almonds soaked over night
1 cup Apple boiled until soft
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh Ginger
2-3 tablespoons Palm Nectar or other sweetener
2-3 tablespoons Coconut oil

Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix until smooth and soft. Taste and see if you'd like to add more cinnamon or sweetener.
